Your role
We offer a dynamic postdoctoral research position who will join the TruX Research Group headed by Prof. Dr. Tegawendé F. Bissyandé. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on advancing Natural Language Processing (NLP) methodologies, particularly on applying and optimizing Large Language Models (LLMs) for innovative software. This project is centered on leveraging AI-driven personality diagnostics to help companies better understand their current and future employees, for more precise hiring and development strategies.
TruX conducts research in software security, software repair, and explainable software to create key practical solutions for developers, allowing them to achieve trustworthiness, efficiency, and transparency. Application areas include FinTech, embedded systems (e.g., mobile), business or entertainment systems, cybersecurity, and more. The successful candidate will:
- Conduct cutting-edge research in NLP and LLMs, for application in employee diagnostics and organizational development
- Develop and fine-tune LLM-based solutions for personality assessment and talent analysis
- Prepare project deliverables and disseminate results through high-quality scientific publications
- Present findings at renowned international conferences and workshops
- Guide and mentor PhD, MSc, and BSc students working on related topics
- Support the organization of demonstrations and workshops showcasing AI-driven employee diagnostics tools
- Assist in drafting research proposals to secure funding for related projects

Your profile
We seek a motivated, independent researcher with strong skills in NLP and a passion for interdisciplinary work.
- The candidate should possess a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, NLP, or related fields
- Expertise in LLMs and their applications in NLP
- Knowledge of personality diagnostics, psychometric analysis, or human resource analytics is a plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Familiarity with fine-tuning and deploying LLMs for practical software
- Strong interest in bridging AI research with real-world business needs
- Experience in research supervision
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
- A proven publication record in relevant international conferences and journals
- Teamworking skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary research environment
