Your tasks
- Define and lead the execution of the organization's cloud architecture strategy, aligning it with business objectives and technological goals.
- Design scalable and secure cloud solutions tailored for media workflows, including content production, storage, distribution, and broadcasting.
- Leverage AWS services to optimize performance, cost, and operational efficiency for media delivery and MaaS platforms.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud technologies, particularly in the media industry, and incorporate them into the cloud strategy.
- Provide technical leadership for cloud architecture initiatives, guiding development teams, solution architects, and engineers in implementing best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for AWS services, advising on their optimal use within the organization's architecture.
- Mentor and manage a team of cloud architects and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Ensure cloud architectures adhere to industry standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Partner with key stakeholders, including product teams, media operations, and IT, to define cloud requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Communicate the value and impact of cloud initiatives to executive leadership, providing regular updates and progress reports.
Your profile
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role, with significant exposure to AWS and cloud-native solutions.
- Strong background in the media industry, with a deep understanding of media workflows, streaming technologies, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
- Expertise in designing and implementing highly scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures.
- Hands-on experience with key AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFront, Media Services, and IAM.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud solutions and the integration of on-premise systems with cloud platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent certification.
- Experience with real-time media streaming technologies and AWS Elemental Media Services.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Cloud Architecture with a strong background in the media industry and expertise in AWS to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of cloud architectures, media workflows, and AWS services, with the ability to align technical solutions with business goals. This role will play a critical part in shaping our cloud strategy and driving innovation in the delivery of Media-as-a-Service (MaaS) offerings of BCE.
