We are looking for a
Linguistic Assistant (M/F/D)
Main Objective :
Helping the unit's assistants with administrative and linguistic support tasks for the Head of Unit and the translators.
Task :
- Helping the unit's assistants with administrative and linguistic support tasks for the Head of Unit and the translators ;
- Monitoring Mandesk inbox for incoming documents, processing documents for inhouse translation/outsourcing according to rules set at Unit level ;
- Technical assistance with formatting of documents in MS Word and Excel.
- Coordinating with other assistants on daily tasks ;
- Regular standby stints to ensure documents that arrive or go out late can be dealt with appropriately ;
- Monitoring the functional mailbox ;
- Checking and processing returned freelance translations and carrying out final checks on in-house translations ;
- Liaising with translators in the event of problems.
Your profile :
- Secondary education giving access to higher education (baccalauréat, Abitur or equivalent) ;
- Any experience in a international working environment, especially in the field of translation and linguistic services, is considered as an asset ;
- You have a perfect command of MS Office tools ;
- You have a very good command of English at least C1 and a good knowledge of French at least B2, mastering other languages (especially French or any other official language of the Union) are considered as an asset.
