ManpowerGroup's Recruitment Agency is hiring for one of its clients, an industrial company specializing in automotive, which is looking to hire a Purchaser (f/m/x) on a permanent contract.
YOUR RESPONSABILITIES:
As a Purchaser reporting to the Purchasing Manager, your primary focus will be on tracking and improving costs along the Supply Chain Components & Subcontracting Services.
- Managing a portfolio of components and subcontracting services.
- Handling RFQ, negotiating optimal conditions, and selecting suitable suppliers.
- Analyzing cost breakdowns of components and services, implementing corrective actions.
- Providing cost justifications for suppliers and subcontracting services.
- Improving the cost efficiency of the supply chain components from sub-suppliers to end suppliers.
- Overseeing Company & Customers' toolings at suppliers and subcontractors.
- Decision-making involvement during new project launches on components and suppliers.
- Setting up, tracking, and managing electricity & gas contracts.
- Following components from pre-serial production phase until end of production.
- Supporting Procurement Team in supply strategy (safety stock, consignment, etc.).
- Collaborating closely with Quality Suppliers Department to ensure supplier excellence.
- Maintaining updated purchasing modules in the ERP system.
- Market and supplier benchmarking for identifying opportunities and maintaining healthy competition.
- Managing Engineering Change requests from Suppliers' Service Providers.
- Tracking of KPIs, negotiation, benchmarking, cost reduction, savings, and reporting.
- Serving as the single point of contact between Supplier and Customer.
- Openness to travel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in business management, Business Administration, or Purchasing focus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing roles in the industry sector
- Technical background or understanding.
- Proficient in MRP (ERP) systems.
- Professional certifications (APICS, CPIM) preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal); proficiency in French and/or German is an asset.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams.
