Job Description
We are seeking a Risk Management Assistant Manager/Manager for the Investment Fund/Asset Management Industry

Within the team, you will face a diverse range of projects, often driven by regulatory requirements, that span across the entire operations of Management Companies and Alternative Investment Fund Managers focusing on risk assessment practices.

What you will be working on
- You will lead and manage client engagements covering all aspects of a ManCo/AIFM's operations, with a focus on risk management, as well as compliance, valuation, portfolio management, and oversight of delegates.
- You will guide our clients through their regulatory-driven transformations and licensing initiatives (AIFM license, MiFID Top-up, etc.), focusing on designing target operating models that enhance risk governance and ensure regulatory compliance.
- You will contribute to business development and visibility campaigns, leading the production of proposals and client presentation materials that emphasize effective risk management strategies.
- You will act as a Trusted Advisor for Senior Management of leading players in the Management Companies and Alternative Investment landscape, offering insights on risk management frameworks and operational efficiencies best practices.
- You will supervise all aspects of client engagements, mentor junior colleagues (be a “role model”), and ensure client satisfaction by providing quality reviews and monitoring engagement economics through the lens of risk oversight.
- You will develop a dedicated business case to contribute to the growth of the Asset Management Consulting Community by becoming a recognized topical and/or market segment owner in risk management within the Firm.
What we look for
- You have a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Management, or similar fields.
- You have between 4 and 6 years of relevant experience in risk management and operations within the Investment Fund and Asset Management Industry.
- You embrace the consulting mindset and fast-paced work environment. You are an orchestrator with the ability to develop a roadmap toward risk-informed decision-making.
- You are a recognized subject matter expert in ManCo/AIFM arrangements (e.g., participation in industry bodies like LPEA, ALFI) and have established a network of industry professionals for insights into risk-related developments.
- You possess a business-driven, agile, and pragmatic mindset that enables you to balance regulatory compliance with operational efficiency while managing associated risks effectively.
- You have a strong command of fundamental regulatory topics (e.g., UCITS, AIFMD, CSSF 18/698, etc.) and understand the critical areas of regulatory scrutiny concerning risk factors.
- You have the necessary soft skills to build relationships with clients and develop team members with a strong focus on risk awareness.
- You have a strong command of Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- You are fluent in English. French and/or German would be considered a strong asset.
