Financial Controller
ING Luxembourg is looking to reinforce its financial controlling department. You integrate a team of six finance colleagues from Belgium and France. In the target organization (upon January 2025), you will be responsible for the cost and FTE management of different functions of the bank. In this role, you will perform analytical closing, reporting and communication of financial results and setup cost budgets and forecasts together with the budget owners. You will have exposure to senior management including the top management of the bank.
At the beginning of your assignment and to show you the diversity of the team, we ask you to help out in the Wholesale Banking controlling function by creating management reports related to client and product income (until the end of 2024).
Your main missions:
- Be business partner for the budget holders of the bank, mainly the CTO, CFO, CEO and their respective management teams
- Be responsible for reforecast and budget planning
- Contribute to the monthly analytical closing process
- Be responsible for the cost allocation process and its underlying tooling
- Collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats
- Help the stakeholders get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice
- Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports
- Build partnerships locally and with the group
- Interpret and apply key financial indicators to make better business decisions
- Optimize processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Create new reportings related to Wholesale Banking products and clients at the beginning of your assignment
Your profile
Education :
University / Post Graduate (Masters Degree) with financial/economic background
Competences :
- First working experience of 3-4 years in the cost controlling area
- Work autonomously
- Team player
- Contributor to the collaborative and fun atmosphere of the team
- Sense of organisation and prioritization
- IT literacy in Excel, Powerpoint and BO, Essbase is a plus
- Technical curiosity
- Capability to synthetize big amounts of data
- Knowledge of banking products, banking sector, rate curves is a plus
- French and English fluently, all other languages especially Dutch is a plus
