SPV ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE (M/F)
We are currently recruiting for an Accounting Associate on behalf of a large private investment firm. The group is responsible for supporting one of the world's leading distressed funds.
THE ROLE:
Work with internal Accounting team on the review and preparation of accounting entries related to portfolio activity and expense tracking and allocation for complex structures
Work with Administrator to ensure proper tracking of trading activity, investment details, and character of income
Work with Administrator and US-based Operations/Accounting personnel on daily cash, position, and accrual reconciliations associated with complex products including fixed income, equities, derivatives, and bank loans.
Liquidity management in accordance with Cash Management policy
Preparation and review of Board Materials and Financial Statements
Participate in the preparation and review of BCL and VAT reports and Financial Statements
Support reporting/filing requirements specific to certain foreign jurisdictions
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Degree in Accounting/Finance with strong academic track record
Minimum 3 years' experience in the Financial Services industry
Strong knowledge of common financial products such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, and bank debt
Excellent Excel skills, technically savvy and experienced in analyzing data files
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English
Flexible, quick learner with the ability to multi-task
Strong team contributor with proactive drive to deliver results
