As a Paint Shop Mechanic, your main responsibilities include:
- Prepare the surface of aircraft sections, components and parts as well as to apply primer and topcoat;
- Prepare and paint ground support equipment;
- Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures;
- Perform all work in a safe and timely manner;
- Install sealant, erosion tape and stickers on aircraft and aircraft components
Essential Requirements For The Position:
- Secondary technical education or accomplished apprenticeship (DAP/CATP) in car body repair or paint (or equivalent);
- At least 1-3 years of experience in spray painting;
- Experience in painting fiber glass and composite material is an advantage;
- Able to work in a team and show initiative in solving problems
- Able to work at height
- Fluency in written and spoken English, any other language is considered as an advantage
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based in Luxembourg (Monday-Friday; early and late shift)
- The position holder works in the shop environment.
- Occaisional flexibility outside the normal working schedule may be asked (within Luxembourg law and Collective Work Agreement regulations).
- Occasional travel will be remunerated in accordance with Collective Work Agreement.
- A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
- The successful candidate will have to obtain a valid medical fitness certificate for the job issued by the Company doctor prior to the start of the employment
- The position qualifies as safety-sensitive personnel as per EU Regulation 965/2012. The successful candidate will have to be tested for psychoactive substances prior to the start of the employment.
- The internal title would be "Mechanic Paint Shop". The level of the position depends on the experience of the selected candidate.
