The position holder will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Carrying out duties and tasks listed but not limited to below:
- Supervising the staff in Composite and Paint staff
- Accomplishing the administrtive work in the shop
- Defining priorities and co-ordinating workload with Trade Inspectors in the shop.
- Distributing tasks and give on the job instructions/training to the personnel under his command.
- Coordinating tasks and work with other shops or departments.
- Verifying all tools and test equipment is available and serviceable to accomplish work on components.
- Verifying all Health and Safety rules are followed and personnel protective equipment is worn by all personnel
- Ensuring workspaces in the shop are kept clean and safe and in accordance with 5S principles
- Training or delegating the training of apprentices, trainees and junior mechanics in the shop
- Ensuring shop personnel attends all required training
- Managing the shop stock in an economic manner
- Assisting auditors during internal and external audits
Essential Requirements For The Position:
- Minimum educational background: CATP/ DAP or equivalent
- Minimum ten years' experience in composite repairs in aviation
- Good understanding of drawings, manuals, and composite repair methods
- Mature attitude, ability to work independently
- Not afraid to work at heights
- Good computer knowledge in MS Office, AMOS
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Working Conditions:
- Full time position, permanent position based in Luxembourg
- A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
- Vacations and other absences to be planned respecting shop needs
- Occasionally may be asked to work outside his normal working schedule
- Occasional travel may be required and remunerated in accordance with the Collective Work Agreement
