Internship - Credit Risk Analyst (Credit Risk Management / Team Banks and Countries) (M/F)

Your next challenge:

Within the Credit Risk department, you will analyze credit requests for Banks and Sovereigns counterparties and conduct a dynamic monitoring of their creditworthiness. This activity will be performed within the framework of the Bank policies / procedures and the respect of the regulatory environment.

"3 lines of defense" model: Within Risk Management department, you will be part of the second line of defense (alongside Compliance department) which provides rules, policies and guidelines for the first line of defense, i.e. the teams directly working with our bank clients. The third line of defense, through our internal audit team, makes sure that the first two lines are in line with legal requirements of our supervisors and the risk appetite of the Bank.

Key objectives of the job

• You identify the risks related to the counterparties and transactions presented and formalize an opinion, aiming at facilitating the decision-making of the competent credit authorities.
  
• You are familiar with financial statements and you have a good knowledge in economics/finance in order to get acquainted with rating agencies reports.
  
• You have a good knowledge of credit risk and contagion risk to analyze daily alerts and news
  
• You work closely with the Front Officers and Market Dealers to support them with their credit limit requests.
  
• You are able to use VBA / Python in reports and dashboards building.

Your skills:

• You have a master's degree in Finance, Economics or Management (at least the first year of a master's degree must be completed) or holder of FRM / CFA.
  
• You are fluent in French and English..
  
• You have a good command of usual working tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  
• You have a good command of VBA and Python
  
• You are rigorous and able to synthesize information with very good writing and analytical skills.
