Senior Business Development Officer

Luxembourg headquarters/Partly remote


The Business Development (BD) team and the Marketing & Communications (MC) team closely work together to develop and deploy our go-to-market strategies. Dedicated to our Industry Groups, the BD team helps to drive client activity and implement broader commercial strategies that support growth and our market leading position.


The ideal candidate may already be working in a BD role within a legal or professional services environment. You may have a Fund or Financial Services background as many of our clients are active within these industries.


You will join a successful team, working alongside other BD and MC team members and reporting into the BD Team Manager and the Director of Markets & Services.


Your role:


  • Working closely with the Partners in one or more Industry Groups, our foreign offices and the MC team, helping to further develop and implement the go-to-market strategy that covers the full spectrum of our services
  • Driving client engagement for selected priority clients and targets in the designated industries
  • Responding to client requests for proposals, tenders and presentations
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders across the entire Arendt Group in light of an integrated Industry, Geography and Product Development approach
  • Driving Priority Product BD campaigns focussed on generating traffic and leads for our key offerings
  • Seeing to a proper governance, data capture and meeting-cycle for the designated Industry Group(s)
  • Undertaking and/or coordinating Industry specific market analysis and research
  • Participating in regular planning, review and follow-up meetings with each of the stakeholders.


Your profile:


  • You hold a relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree and have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a Business Development role, ideally gained in a law firm, in the professional services industry or in the Fund or Financial Institution industries
  • You have good organisational and communication skills
  • You are a self-starter that can handle the pressure of dealing with multiple projects and responsibilities
  • You have experience in working with multinational teams in a dynamic environment
  • You are both capable of functioning independently as well as in a team
  • You are capable of developing and maintaining strong working relationships at every level of the organisation
  • You have a strong command of MS Office Suite
  • You are fluent in English both written and spoken. Any other language (French, German, Luxembourgish) is considered an asset.
