German-Speaking Financial Controller – Luxembourg City – Junior Position

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join the team of a renowned company located in the heart of Luxembourg. Your Responsibilities | Career Start – Training

The company is seeking a Financial Controller to strengthen its teams. You will be responsible for performing classic Financial Controller tasks, such as:

  • Budget monitoring and variance analysis: Preparing, tracking, and comparing forecasted budgets with actual expenses, and proposing corrective actions.
  • Cost analysis and optimization: Collecting and analyzing cost data, developing dashboards, and identifying cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Financial reporting and participation in month-end closings: Preparing periodic financial reports, updating dashboards, and contributing to monthly closings.
  • Support to operational teams: Providing financial analyses to assist in decision-making and collaborating with internal departments for accurate management analyses.

Please note that complete autonomy in these tasks is not required.

Profile and Career Path | Career Start - Training

  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience is expected for this position—not to achieve full autonomy in the tasks, but to have already acquired a solid foundation in financial control.
  • Fluency in German is absolutely mandatory, as the vast majority of your colleagues will be native German speakers.
  • French is not required but is highly recommended to facilitate communication with clients, suppliers, and other local stakeholders.
  • Motivation, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are crucial qualities for this role, so be sure to highlight them in your CV and during interviews!
