Experis is currently looking for a RedHat System Engineer for one of our clients in Luxembourg City with a large-scale IT environment. This company is specialized in data & business process outsourcing.
Your responsibilities:
- Perform various Linux Systems Administration tasks in a large and heterogeneous environment with highly critical assets
- Troubleshoot Linux operating system, storage, and network-related incidents
- Install, configure, and maintain standard and non-standard Linux physical and virtual servers
- Ensure compliance of Linux assets with existing security guidelines (hardening, auditing, patching, network segregation)
- Ensure compliance with defined data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
- Monitor Linux infrastructure assets and provide proactive remediation
- Review and validate infrastructure design, providing expert technical advice on one or several technologies used in the environment
- Implement, test, and validate new standards or technologies
- Write, maintain, and hand over related operational process documentation
Your profile:
- You have at least 5 years of experience as Linux System Engineer
- You are strongly experienced in RedHat Linux (versions 6, 7, and 8)
- Any experience with Solaris 10 & 11 and/or AIX 7 systems will be considered a strong asset
- You have some expertise in troubleshooting complex issues (Level 3)
- You are familiar with automation tools like RedHat Satellite
- You have good experience with virtualization and cloud technologies (VMware & Azure)
- You are able to work within short deadlines
- Available to work on call 24/7 one a month
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken). French will be considered as an asset
