Looking for new opportunities to build your skills? Meet with the Sacred Heart University Team on Friday, March 19th 2021, during the Moovijob Day Luxembourg Fair!

Those considering an MBA may wonder if now is the right time. In fact, periods of uncertainty are the best windows of opportunity to reinvest in yourself—building your skills, expanding your network, and improving your credentials for a better future. For the past 30 years, Luxembourg has proudly provided those opportunities to a diverse student body, serving as the European campus of Sacred Heart University’s Luxembourg. Located in Kirchberg, the program offers Master of Business Administration students the opportunity to attain real-world skills taught by an international faculty of accomplished scholars and experienced business executives.

An MBA program that adapts and responds

The curriculum is designed especially for professionals with experience in a variety of fields looking to acquire new knowledge, competencies and skills. The end goal will vary from student to student—some may want to take on managerial responsibilities in their companies, others will want to change careers or start their own businesses. The curriculum is defined based on the student’s academic and career goals, and courses are chosen after several exchanges between the student and the faculty.

In addition to adapting to the needs of each student, the course also adapts to changes in the business marketplace. For example, when global business leaders identified gaps in management education, the program responded with course material aimed at developing managers who can think and act as leaders, rather than functional experts.

SHULU is a non-profit institution, which means their aim is not to have the largest number of students, but to work on the academic trajectory of each individual student. Class sizes are kept small, limiting the number to 20 students per course. This allows for more dynamic contact with the faculty of recognized scholars and experienced practitioners. Being both a professor and a practitioner is of paramount importance in the SHULU MBA program. In finance or accounting, for example, several professors come from the European Investment Bank.

A diverse network of students and graduates

The MBA program contains a diverse, international student body from over 50 countries. With its location in Luxembourg, home to key European Union institutions and one of the world’s largest financial centers, students are immersed in an innovative business landscape with rich opportunities for development. The program is deeply integrated into Luxembourg’s business climate—SHULU has the largest network of MBA students in Luxembourg.

Their alumni include several different profiles, namely Marketing Directors at Amazon, Heads of the European Investment Bank, the Managing Director of Ampacet, an MP, the Chairman of the Board of British Steel and one of the heads of the Grand Ducal Court.

In addition to the environment here in Luxembourg, students also have the option of adding courses in the United States on Sacred Heart’s main campus in Fairfield, Connecticut—just an hour north of New York City.

A diploma recognized all over the world

Sacred Heart University is internationally recognized and accredited by AACSB International, the premier global accrediting body for schools of business. This accreditation is awarded to less than 5% of universities in the world and is the only AACSB accredited institution in Luxembourg.

That international recognition is key to ensuring a high return on investment, and the career development of SHULU graduates is a testament to this—95% of SHULU MBA students received job offers either before or within 6 months after graduation.

Paid internships bring additional value to the MBA student experience and, under certain conditions, it’s possible for non-EU/EEA students graduating with an MBA to obtain a work permit in Luxembourg.

With a personalized curriculum design process and positioning in an innovative business climate, SHULU’s MBA program is building bridges to greater business opportunities in Luxembourg, and beyond.
